I am sorry I could not be there to say good by to Matthew.
I will always remember the adorable little boy who played in his yard and sometimes in mine.
I remember Matt sitting outside making the neighborhood a nicer place as he played his music.

Matt is a person I remember with fondness. He was comfortable with himself at an an age when many of us were still searching. He taught me to love graphic novels and he wrote beautiful poetry. I just read a novel with a character that reminded me of the Matt I knew in High School, and it made me smile. My thoughts go out to his family and friends.

Matt did so much for me, and more than I can list here. He encouraged and inspired me to keep writing, playing music, and continue trying, and I do every day. I am finishing classes this week (also inspired by Matt) and can't make it to New York, but my thoughts are with his family and friends, and everything he did for me will always be with me. I will always remember Matt, Chris and my son Bruce playing and practicing their Music in my basement. Three young men playing the Music they Loved. The Music was there were loud, Other Times it was soft most of all it was full of the joy of thee young Men creating, playing and doing what they Loved doing making Music!
