Obituary of Philip T. Kenny

Philip T. Kenny Philip T. Kenny, 88, passed away on September 17, 2006 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. He was a former resident of the Bronx and twenty-two year area resident. Son of the late Patrick and Mary Kenny, he was born July 4, 1918 in Manhattan. Philip served his country during World War II as a Military Policeman from 1942 to 1945. He married the love of his life, Lucille, on February 5, 1949 in the Church of St. Augustine in the Bronx. Until his retirement, he had been employed by McGraw Hill for forty-seven years. Philip was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church, Wappingers Falls. In addition to his wife of 57 years, Lucille Kenny, he is survived by his daughters, Arlene Jutt and her husband, William of Wappingers Falls and Lucille Smith and her husband, Brian of Long Island; grandchildren, Jason Jutt, Michael Jutt and his wife, Stephanie and Kelly Jutt all from the area, Kimberly Ahearn and her husband, Sean, Melissa Smith, Jessica Smith and Christopher Smith; and great-grandchildren, Kailey and Liam Ahearn all of Long Island. Family will receive their friends on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Straub Funeral Home, 55 East Main St., Wappingers Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 am on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls.
