Obituary of Ann R. Scianna

Ann Scianna Ann Scianna, a lifelong resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at New York Presbyterian Hospital. She was 75. Daughter of the late Vincent and Josephine Paolilli Ranalli, she was born May 5, 1931 in Wappingers Falls. She married Cosmo A. Scianna November 14, 1954 at St. Mary's Church, Wappingers Falls. Mr. Scianna survives at home. Mrs. Scianna was a part time teacher's aide at St. Mary's School, Wappingers Falls for seventeen years. Most importantly, she was a wife, mother and grandmother. She especially enjoyed being a full time grandmother to her grandchildren. Ann was a parishioner at St. Mary's Church, Wappingers Falls. In addition to her husband of fifty-one years, Cosmo Scianna, she is survived by her daughters, Lia Buchanan and her husband, John of North Salem, NY, Lynette DeBellis and her husband, Dr. Davide DeBellis of the Town of Poughkeepsie and Lori Scianna of Wappingers Falls; her brother, Frank Ranalli of Glenham; her sister, Amelia Touponse of Red Oaks Mill, her grandchildren, John Buchanan, Jr., Matthew Buchanan and Julianna and Steven DeBellis; as well as several nieces and nephews. Family will receive their friends on Thursday, September 21, 2006 from 4-8 p.m. at Straub Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 22 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
