Obituary of Henry F. Bohlinger

Henry F. Bohlinger Henry F. Bohlinger, a resident of the Town of Poughkeepsie, entered into rest, Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. He was 67. Son of the late Ellsworth and Martha Luesing Bohlinger, he was born April 28, 1939 in Poughkeepsie. On March 30, 1968 he married the former Jeanine Perusa in New Hackensack. Mrs. Bohlinger survives at home in Poughkeepsie. Henry was in Facilities Maintenance at IBM, East Fishkill before his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Poughkeepsie as well as a life member of New Hamburg Fire Department, Company 1 where he was a past treasurer. He considered the members of the firehouse his second family and was forever grateful to them for saving his life. Henry was also an avid collector of antique cars. In addition to his wife of 38 years, Jeanine Bohlinger, he is survived by his daughter, Lisa Marie Eckhardt and her husband, Christopher of New Hamburg; his brothers, Joseph Bohlinger of Poughkeepsie and Harold Bohlinger of Staatsburg; his sisters, Helen Osterhoudt of Poughkeepsie, Dorothy Buckner of Poughkeepsie, Elizabeth Finn of Poughkeepsie and Rose Grubb of North Carolina; his granddaughter, Elizabeth Perez of New Hamburg and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers James, Robert, Peter, Albert, Ellsworth, and George Bohlinger and his sisters, Eleanor Doughty, Frances Junge, Carol Ladzinski and Lillian May Bohlinger. Family will receive their friends on Friday, October 6, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Straub Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, October 7 at the funeral home with Pastors John and Joy Amick officiating. Interment will follow in Wappingers Rural Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
