Obituary of Linda M. Galyon

Linda M. Galyon Linda M. Galyon, a resident of the Town of Poughkeepsie, entered into rest Friday, October 20, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie after a courageous ten year fight with cancer. She was 50. Daughter of the Nancy Natoli Perpetua Dell'Olio and the late Carmen Perpetua, she was born July 11, 1956 in Poughkeepsie. She was raised in Wappingers Falls. Linda was a front end manager for local Shop Rite's prior to her retirement. Before her illness, Linda enjoyed being an aerobics instructor. She also enjoyed crafts and scrap booking. She was a parishioner of St. Peter's Church, Poughkeepsie. She married Michael W. Galyon on September 9, 1999 at Zion Episcopal Church, Wappingers Falls. Linda is survived by her husband, Michael W. Galyon at home in Poughkeepsie; her mother, Nancy Dell'Olio of the Town of Poughkeepsie; her niece, Dana VanBenschoten; her nephews, Michael and Mark Perpetua; and her great-niece, Autumn VanBenschoten. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her brother, Michael Perpetua on April 1, 2000. Family will receive their friends on Sunday, October 22, 2006 from 6-9 pm at Straub Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 am on Monday, October, 23 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
