Obituary of John Adams

John Adams John Adams, a resident of Poughkeepsie since 1953, entered into rest Thursday, December 7, 2006 at Hudson Valley Rehabilitation Center in Highland. He was 89. Son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Nicholas Adams, he was born on November 27, 1917. He married the love of his life, Anna S. Sharawara, on August 29, 1942 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island; she precedes him in death passing on June 29, 1961. Mr. Adams worked as a machinist in IBM in Poughkeepsie, until his retirement. He was also a member of the IBM Quarter Century. In addition to his wife, he is predeceased by his daughter Barbara Adams in 1993. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 12 at 9 a.m. at Wappingers Rural Cemetery, Route 9D in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow.
