Dear Ed"s Family:
Sorry I missed Ed's wake and funeral. It's been over thirty-six years since I last saw Ed when I transferred from IBM Poughkeepsie in 1970: maybe more since IBM Fishkill Patent Operations split off from IBM Poughkeepsie Operations efre then. I always enjoyed working with Ed.

Dear Family, Ed and I played golf for many years in the old IBM days. We had good times and lots of laughs...he knew how to enjoy life. He was a wonderful person and will be deeply missed. His time on this earth was well spent and now he can claim his rewards.

Uncle Ed was a very important influence in my life; I have great respect for the way he lived and the positive impact he had on all others he met and knew. When I was a child I had the privilege of spending a few weeks each summer with Uncle Ed's family, and I recall that each Saturday he would put on his red socks and take Barbara and Susan and I somewhere special: a museum or an historical building. Those were happy trips and we learned while having fun.

This is to send my condolences to Ed's family. I worked in the Patent Dept. with Ed at IBM, E. Fishkill back in the 1970s. Yes, he was the kindest man one could know and he always had a smile on his face for everyone. Ed Zukowski (now deceased) was a good friend of Ed Frey and I can remember the three of us having various conversations while at work. There was always a lot of humor involved. Sorry to hear of his passing.
