Obituary of Catherine A. Andrews

Catherine A. Andrews Catherine A. Andrews, a 19 year resident of Wappingers Falls, formerly of Yorktown Heights and Mamaroneck, entered into rest Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was 84. Daughter of the late Anthony and Catherine Magrino, she was born on July 23, 1921 in Port Chester. Catherine was a graduate of Rye Neck High School. She then chose to devote her life to making a wonderful home for her four sons. Survivors include her sons, Ronald P. Andrews and his wife, Carol of Wappingers Falls, Gary J. Andrews and his wife, Sharon of Nutley, New Jersey, James F. Andrews and his wife, Dorothy of Wappingers Falls and Richard T. Andrews and his wife, Christine of Patterson; sisters, Philomena Wandell and Rose Magrino; ten grandchildren, Christopher Andrews, Allison Wright, Amy Rose, Kate, Ryan and Laura Andrews, Melissa Crippin, Jennifer Andrews and Kimberly and Maegan Andrews; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Hope, Shane, Carly, Grace, Emily, Michael and Catherine; and several nieces and nephews. Catherine is predeceased by her siblings, Philomena Wandell, Sr. Loretta Catherine Magrino and Red Magrino. Family will receive their friends on Thursday, October 6 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Straub Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, October 7 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Wappingers Rural Cemetery, Wappingers Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Catherine's name to the Dyson Center, 45 Reade Place, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
