Obituary of Ilda M. Cocolicchio

Ilda M. Cocolicchio Ilda M. Cocolicchio of the Town of Poughkeepsie passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 22, 2007, after a long illness. Daughter of the late Francesco and Maria Ruffini D'Addario, she was born on November 9, 1942 in Salle, Italy. She married the love of her life, Sal Cocolicchio on June 23, 1962 in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Astoria Queens; Sal survives at home. Mrs. Cocolicchio worked as a Secretarial Manager for IBM in East Fishkill. She also was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. Ilda was a strong woman who was a loving mother and grandmother; her grandchildren were her greatest joy. In addition to her husband, Sal, she is survived by her children, Daniel Cocolicchio of Hartsdale, Marie Pugliese and her husband, Marc of Fishkill and Patricia Yereance and her husband, Keith of Wappingers Falls; her grandchildren, Daniel H. Yereance, Abigail M. Yereance and Gabriella P.I. Pugliese; her two sisters; and several nieces and nephews. Ilda's family will receive their friends on Tuesday, April 24 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Straub Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, April 25 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ilda's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
