Obituary of Vincenzo Prestia

Vincenzo Prestia Vincenzo Prestia, a resident of the Village of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Thursday, May 10, 2007 at his home. He was 65. Son of the late Pasquale and Angela Prestia, he was born July 30, 1942 in Italy. Vincenzo owned and operated Vincenzo Prestia Hair Design in Wappingers Falls and formerly in Fishkill. He was very proud to have worked as a hairdresser on Broadway. He also designed wigs for numerous stars while working on the shows on Broadway. He is survived by his wife, Annette Prestia at home in Wappingers Falls; his daughter, Tina Prestia of Manhattan; two stepchildren, Alita Edwards and her husband, Daniel of Lagrangeville and George Helms and his wife, Nancy of Newburgh; five grandchildren, Cara, Nicole, Sam, Abigail, and Christian; his brothers, Dominic and Joseph; his sister, Rose and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Rocco. Family and friends will gather at 1:30 pm on Monday, May 14 at Straub Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls.
