Obituary of Gloria C. Franzese

Gloria C. Franzese Gloria C. Franzese, a resident of the Village of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Wingate at Dutchess, Fishkill. She was 79. Daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina Russo DiRocco, she was born October 22, 1927 in the Bronx. She was married to Robert Franzese. Mr. Franzese preceded her in death in 1995. Gloria was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church, Wappingers Falls. She also enjoyed the time she spent at the Fishkill Senior Center. Survivors include her son, Thomas Franzese and his wife, MaryAnn of Wappingers Falls; her son-in-law, Michael Favale of Yonkers; her brother, Joseph DiRocco of Rockland County; her four grandchildren, Jessica Franzese and Kristin, Michelle, and Michael Favale; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Favale and her sister, Joyce. Family will receive their friends on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 am on Wednesday, July 25 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, New York.
