Mario DiCesare
Mario DiCesare of Wappingers Falls, formerly of Yonkers, entered into rest Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was 68.
Son of the late Sergio and Filomena Vesio DiCesare, he was born on July 10, 1939 in Yonkers. He married the former Marie Bonilla on October 3, 1964 in St. Mary's Church in Yonkers; Mrs. DiCesare survives at home.
Mario proudly served his country in the United States Army. Until his retirement he worked for the Department of Sanitation in Yonkers. He was also a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls.
In addition to his wife, Marie, he is survived by his sons, Ernie DiCesare and his wife, Helen of Lagrange, and Christopher DiCesare and his wife, Sherry of Hopewell Junction; his brothers, Paul DiCesare and his wife, Margie of Wappingers Falls, and John DiCesare and his wife, Irene of FL; his sisters, Anna Rose Rizzi, Rose Pazienza and Antoinette DiCesare, all of Yonkers; his mother-in-law, Esther Padilla; grandchildren, Vincent, Dante, Paige, Jade and Brandi; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive their friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Thursday, August 23 at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, August 24 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mario's name to the American Cancer Society, 45 Reade Place, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
