Obituary of Gertrude A. Schuele

Gertrude Schuele Gertrude Schuele, a resident of the Town of Wappinger, entered into rest Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. She was 87. Daughter of the late Jacob and Mina Hasler, she was born May 10, 1920 in Switzerland. On September 3, 1938 she married Eugene Schuele in Poughkeepsie. Mr. Schuele preceded her in death on December 7, 1992. She lived in Poughkeepsie and Wappingers Falls for most of her life. She was a homemaker and loved helping raise her grandchildren. She also enjoyed flower arranging. Survivors include her daughters, Trudi Minotti and her husband, Joe of Wappingers Falls and Joan Scotti of Catskill; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Family will receive their friends on Friday, September 28, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, September 29 at 9:45 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, Main Street, Poughkeepsie. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home at 8:30 am on Saturday. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie.
