Obituary of Mary Kelly Kettyles

Mary Kelly Kettyles Mary Kelly Kettyles, born March 4, 1914, in Scotland died Monday, October 22, 2007, at her daughter Eileen's home after a long illness. Mary was predeceased by her husband John, and her two infant daughters, Katherine and Frances. Mary was the last remaining member of her generation in the Kelly family, back home in Scotland. She is survived by her two daughters, Agnes Kettyles of Miami, Florida, and Eileen Iulo of Poughkeepsie, her husband Bernard and their two daughters, Michelle Schoulder and her husband, Andrew, and Mehgan Iulo, all of Manhattan. Mary is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews in the UK. Mary was a devout Roman Catholic and a member of St. Martin de Porres Parish in Red Oaks Mill since it was established. It was her great faith that sustained her through a life often marked with much suffering and sorrow. Mary was a gifted poet, songwriter and a lovely pianist. The family is very grateful for all the prayers, kindness and support of many friends and neighbors. They especially want to acknowledge the loving care provided by Hospice during Mary's latter days. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 27 at 10AM at St. Martin de Porres Church on Cedar Valley Road. Burial will be in a family plot in the UK at a later date.
