Jim Daughton was a classic soul. Loving and caring while protected by a the skilled use of appropriate sarcasm. Talking with Jim was an exercise in good times and laughter. Although we communicated only a couple of times a year, I looked forward to each spoken or typed word. I will miss him.
My heartfelt condolences to Jim's family and friends.

I was also a Fraternity brother of Jim's at Ithaca College. No one had a bigger heart and was more willing to help a friend in need than Jim. Everyone that knew him could on him as a friend. His good humor and spirit will missed by all.

Jim was a fraternity brother with me in Pi Lambda Chi at Ithaca College in 1977. He was a great brother, a fantastic friend and we'll miss him alot. We had many great parties together and I hope he's currently organizing another "Pi Lam" chapter for us when we all join him. I posted two fraternity photos on the the Pi Lambda Chi web-site if anyone wants to see Jim during our old college days. My sincerest condolences to Jim's family and friends.

The world has lost such a loving, gentle soul. Jimmy used to call me his 'fellow skipper'. We had a blast in high school. I can only imagine Jimmy and Glenn back together again and causing folks to laugh until they cry. He leaves a legacy of kindness and humor behind. A smile that made even the grouchiest person give in and grin.
My sincerest sympathy to his family. May God hold and comfort you. To his friends, we are truly better people for having known him.
For those of us left behind, we need only picture that gentle smile and, if even just for a moment, his memory will touch us once again and we will have no choice but to smile along with him.
To my 'fellow skipper'...knowing you were still on this planet helped me to know that there was still someone out there spreading joy and humor....you will be missed.
