Obituary of Leonard F. Soranno

Leonard F. Soranno Leonard F. Soranno, a resident of the Town of Wappinger, entered into rest Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, Newburgh. He was 61. Son of the late Dominic and Mary DeNicolas Soranno, he was born October 31, 1946 in the Bronx. On August 11, 1979 in Las Vegas, Nevada he married the former Roberta M. Lewis. Mrs. Soranno survives at home in Wappingers Falls. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jonathan Soranno of Long Island and Christina Soranno at home in Wappingers Falls; his brother, Vincent Soranno and his wife, Rosanna and their three children of Yonkers; his mother-in-law, Rosalie J. Lewis; his brother-in-law, Nicholas Lewis and his wife, Eileen and their three children and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am on Wednesday, January 16 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, Jackson Street, Fishkill. Interment will follow in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, South Avenue, Poughkeepsie.
