Obituary of Anna E. Vellozzi

Anna E. Vellozzi Anna E. Vellozzi of Wappingers Falls entered into rest Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 64. Daughter of the late James and Anna Foley McCauliffe, she was born on January 25, 1944 in White Plains. She married the love of her life, Joseph F. Vellozzi, Sr. on December 16, 1967 at Sts. Philip and James Church in the Bronx; Mr. Vellozzi survives at home in Wappingers Falls. Before her retirement, Anna worked as a sales person for Caldor's in Yonkers. In her spare time, she loved to cook for her family; her family remembers her cooking as some of the best they've ever had. In addition to her husband, Joseph, she is survived by her son, Joseph F. Vellozzi, Jr. and his wife, Janette of Dover Plains; and her grandson, Joseph L. Vellozzi. Family will receive their friends on Thursday, February 7, 2008 from 12 noon until 3 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will he held following visitation at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will follow services.
