Obituary of Janet Temple Springer

Janet Temple Springer Janet Temple Springer of Wappingers Falls entered into rest Saturday, September 24, 2005 at home surrounded by her family. She was 77. Daughter of the late Herbert and Edith Amelia Selfridge Temple she was born on March 7, 1928 in Poughkeepsie. She was married to Donald George Springer who precedes her in death, passing on January 8, 1994. Janet attended all New York colleges including Dutchess County Community College, Russell Sage, SUNY New Paltz and Plattsburgh State Teachers College, where she graduated in 1948. She received her School Nurse Teacher Certification on 1968. Mrs. Springer worked for the Wappingers Central School District from 1950-1983. During this time she was a school nurse at James S. Evans and Sheafe Road Elementary School. Survivors include her children, Mark Como of Wappingers Falls, Donna James of Wappingers Falls, Donald Christopher Springer of Taylorsville, Utah, Kathryn O'Neill of Wappingers Falls and Dane Springer of Yardley, Pennsylvania; and grandchildren, Thomas Springer, Erik Springer and Patrick Springer. Services will be held at the privacy of the family.
