Obituary of William H. Bosch
William H. Bosch, 87, a 30 year resident of Putnam County, formerly of Commack, Long Island, passed away on September 10, 2014 at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel. Bill was born in Brooklyn, the son of Henry W. and Catherine Bosch in 1927. He attended schools in New York, graduating with a Master's Degree in School Supervision from Hofstra University on Long Island. He was a retired principal from the South Huntington School District.
Bill served his country in the United States Army during World War II in the States and in the European Theater of Operations. Bill was an active member of the Red Mills Baptist Church in Mahopac Falls.
Bill so truly dedicated his life to children; he had been a volunteer at the Children's Bible Fellowship (Hopetown), Camp Joy and Camp Hope for 70 years.
In 1984, he married Barbara (nee Lacina) Bosch of Mahopac. He is survived by his wife Barbara; his son, H. William Bosch and his wife, Colby of Bryn Mawr, PA; his daughter, Susan Miller of Palo Alto, CA; Mark Langworthy and his wife, Tara of Poughquag; John Langworthy and his wife, Dawn of Sherman, CT; Maija Murry and her husband, David of Mahopac; and 8 grandchildren, Garrett Miller, Bryce Miller, James Langworthy, Devon Langworthy, Jillian Langworthy, Nathan Murry, Daniel Murry and Rachel Murry. He is also survived by his sister Lorraine Bird and her husband, Robert of Commack, Long Island.
The funeral service will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at the Ballard-Barrett Cemetery in Mahopac Falls.
