To the family of Russ---
I worked several summers at Arlington with Russ, teaching Driver's Ed, and thought the world of Russ, He was a prince of a guy, but then, you all know that. I was glad to see him on a cruise, a few years back and we both were able to reminisce a bit. He was a good man and will be missed. My condolences to you all.

Dear Mary Jo and your children, we were sadden to hear that Russ has left us. He is in peace now and without pain. Please accept our condolences and extend them to the rest of the Mann family.
I have fond memories of the Mann family, especially in my classmate Russ. When the Mann family moved into the Mead Street house, we kids of the West End section of town brought Russ in as one of the gang.
Russ was a humble guy and he always had a kind word about everyone.
Russ lead Walton Central High School to many basketball victories, as well as, discus and shot put in track and field meets.
Anne and I will miss Russ at our Class Reunions.

MaryJo,
We were shocked to hear of Russ's passing having just seen him at the church BBQ on Saturday. A very lovely man, who we always enjoyed speaking with. We had such good times together at those impromptu Friday night picnics at our corner of Highland Landing Park on the Hudson.
Donna and I will miss him very much.
with deepest sympathies,

Mary Jo, Mike, and Chris: We are so sad to hear about Russ's passing and our thoughts are with you at this difficult time. We so enjoyed spending time with all of you in Fishkill and are so grateful to you and Russ for welcoming us into your home. We think often of one evening in particular and a great conversation we had with Russ on your back patio. Although we did not know him well, we could tell what a great guy he was and it was clear how much he loved you guys.

Mary Jo, I'm so sorry to hear that Russ passed away. That was a shock, considering that I had just been thinking of you yesterday. God must give us insights as to when friends are in need. He was such a sweet guy and I know you loved him dearly.

Mary Jo,
I am so sorry to learn about Russ. I have not kept in touch much with any of the teachers from Myers. This was an unpleasant surprise for me to learn of his passing. I thought so much of Russ. Kind, gentle, special, thoughtful are only a few words I would use to describe him when I knew him way back when. I am thinking of you and your extended family. You are in my prayers.
