Obituary of Eunice L. Mcdermott

Eunice L. McDermott Eunice L. McDermott of the Town of Poughkeepsie entered into rest Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at home surrounded by her family. She was 66. Daughter of the late Alvin M. Winslow, Sr. and Arlene M. Johnson Winslow, she was born on February 1, 1942 in Rockland, Maine. Most recently, Eunice worked as a real estate agent for Remax in Wappingers Falls until her retirement. She had many interests in life; she loved to draw and paint, as she was very artistic. Eunice also loved to read and cook. Most of all, she loved the time she spent playing with her grandchildren. Survivors include her sons, Ronald Bryson and his wife, Jodie of Hopewell Junction, James Brandemarte and his wife, Kristen of Poughkeepsie, and Thomas McDermott and his wife, Sarah of Mahopac; her daughter, Erin McDermott and her significant other, David Penn of Philadelphia, PA; brothers, Donald Winslow and Bruce Winslow; sisters, Helen Hanratty and her husband, Hugh, Thelma Decker, Jeannie Winslow, and Judy Winslow; grandchildren, Sawyer, Emma, Addisen, Skylar, Shane and Aubrianna; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Alvin M. Winslow, Jr. Close friends and family are invited to visit on Monday, October 20, 2008 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A memorial service will follow visitation at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
