Dear Mrs. Mason, posted a condolence
Wednesday, November 19, 2008
I was very saddened to hear about Mr. Mason from my mother today. He taught me a lesson that I will always remember. After finishing washing and waxing one of his cars he asked me, "How much do I owe you?" I replied shyly, "I don't know, you decide." He then pulled a one dollar bill from his pocket and handed it to me. As I headed back across the street to our house he called me back over and asked, "Do you think that job was worth more than one dollar?" I answered, "Yes." He said, "Well then the next time somebody asks you how much your work is worth you tell them what you think is fair. Now how much should I pay you?" I replied, "Ten bucks." He handed me a ten dollar bill and said, "And a buck for a tip makes it eleven. Thank you, the car looks good."
May you find comfort during this sad time.
Respectfully,
Michael Wilson from across the street.

Dear Leola and Family,
It was with great sadness that we read of John's death. We have known him for almost 30 years and had always enjoyed seeing him and speaking with him when he came in to the office. He was a kind, gentle and courtly man who touched our lives with his intelligence and wit. We were so glad to have John in our lives and we will miss him. Please know that you are in our thoughts and in our hearts at this very difficult time. With fondness,
Susan and Josh Fried
