Obituary of Bianca Cioffoletti

Bianca Cioffoletti Bianca Cioffoletti, a resident of the Town of Poughkeepsie, entered into rest Saturday, December 6, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie. She was 85. Daughter of the late Alfonso and Pia Magnante Fiorini, she was born November 7, 1923 in Veroli, Italy. She married Bernard Cioffoletti on May 2, 1948 in Eastchester. Mr. Cioffoletti preceded her in death on July 3, 2002. She was a wonderful mother and a devoted caretaker to her first born son, Alfonso. Her son Alfonso preceded her in death September 6, 2000. Bianca is survived by her children, Janet Gilleo and her husband, Robert, Jr. of Wappingers Falls, Bernard Cioffoletti, Jr. of Poughkeepsie and Thomas Cioffoletti of Poughkeepsie; her brother, Mario Fiorini of Fayetteville, New York; her sister, Alice Schuldt of Mount Vernon; her grandchildren, Emilia Gilleo, Gianina Cava and Cara Stanley; her great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Stanley, Leah Seigh and David Seigh and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and son, she was predeceased by her brother, Amelio Fiorini and sister, Theresa Carpenzaro. Family will receive their friends on Monday, December 8, 2008 from 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday, December 9 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Straub Catalano and Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, December 10 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, South Avenue, Poughkeepsie.
