Obituary of Charles F. Dennis

Charles F. Dennis Charles F. Dennis, a resident of the Town of Wappinger, entered into rest, Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at his home. He was 71. Son of the late George and Ella Shwella Dennis, he was born December 14, 1937 in Poughkeepsie. He married Mary Lou Greer McGregor on August 12, 1989 in Chelsea, New York. Mrs. Dennis survives at home in Chelsea. Prior to his retirement in 1997, Chuck was a Captain with TWA in New York City. In addition to his wife he is survived by his three sons, Steven Dennis of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, Wayne Dennis of Eudora, Kansas and Craig Dennis of Voorheesville, New York; his two daughters, Lyn Porter of Bradford, New Hampshire and Diana Delponte of Apex, North Carolina; his step-children, Scott McGregor of Highland Mills, New York, Bruce McGregor of Liverpool, New York David McGregor of Chelsea, New York and Lisa Sone of West Hartford, Connecticut; his sister, Audrey Brill of Beacon; sixteen grandchildren and ten step-grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Friday, January 2, 2009 from 3 to 7 p.m.. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls.
