Theodore J. "Ted" Patros
Theodore J. " Ted" Patros, a resident of the Town of Wappinger entered into rest on Saturday, July18, 2009 at his home.
On June 20, 1948 he married his beloved Jenny Vahamikos in Johnson City, NY. Jenny and Ted were wed 58 years before her passing in 2006.
Theodore was a member of Kimisis Greek Orthodox Church and also a member of AHEPA.
Ted served in the US Navy from 1943 until 1946 on the USS LCT680 achieving rank of QM2. He was honorably discharged.
Ted worked at GE in Syracuse, NY before taking a position at IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY where he retired in 1990 after 25 years of service.
He is survived by his sons, John Patros and Peter Patros and his wife, Sandra all of Syracuse, NY; his sister Mary Dellas also of Syracuse, grandson PVT 2nd class Charles Patros stationed at Fort Drum, NY.
A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2009 at Kimisis Greek Orthodox Church, 140 South Grand Avenue, Poughkeepsie, New York 12603.
Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, 605 East Shore Drive, Ithaca, New York 14850.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kimisis Greek Orthodox Church, 140 South Grand Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
