Obituary of Kenneth R. Traver

Kenneth R. Traver Kenneth R. Traver, a resident of Pleasant Valley, entered into rest Monday, August 3, 2009 at his home. He was 71. Son of the late Kenneth Royal and Ethel Post Traver, he was born May 17, 1938 in Beacon. On August 4, 1956 at Zion Episcopal Church, Wappingers Falls he married the former Marion Totten. Mrs. Traver survives at home. Ken proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1967. Ken was an electrician with Arlington Central School District until his retirement in 2002. He was a member of Zion Episcopal Church, Wappingers Falls. He was an avid Yankees Fan and enjoyed spending time as a Ham Radio Operator. In addition to his wife, Marion Traver, he is survived by his brother, Royal J. Traver and his wife, Sharon of Chelsea; brother-in-law, Joe Totten and his wife, Claire of Corinth, New York; his niece, Laura Traver of Beacon; his nephews, Glen Traver of Tucson, Arizona and Paul Totten and his wife, Marie of Port Richey, Florida. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Lacy and cats, Shadow, Cupcake and Peanut. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Route 9, Fishkill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dutchess County SPCA, 636 Violet Avenue, Hyde Park, NY 12538.
