John T. LaShomb
John T. LaShomb, a resident of Glen Burnie, Maryland and formerly of Wappingers Falls and Highland, entered into rest Monday, September 7, 2009 at his home. He was 51.
Son of Eileen Johnson LaShomb Schreiber and the late Alvin LaShomb, he was born August 8, 1958 in Beacon. John proudly served his country in the United States Army was honorably discharged in 1982.
John was a self employed electrician. In his spare time he enjoyed going to flea markets and garage sales.
John is survived by his mother and step-father, Eileen and Ray Schreiber of Highland; his brothers, Guy LaShomb and his wife, Aida of Wappingers Falls, Kevin LaShomb and his wife, Susan of Highland and James LaShomb and his wife, Diane of Kingston; his sister, Maureen Gebbia of Glen Burnie, Maryland; his nieces and nephews, Mark, Tina, Christopher, Caitlin and James and several great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his sister, Kathleen.
Family will receive their friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2009 at Straub, Catalano and Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will be held Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
