Louise E. Paggi
Louise E. Paggi, a resident of the Village of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Saturday, January 2, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie. She was 81.
Daughter of the late Stefano and Bicetta Mucci DiMarco, she was born February 21, 1928 in Wappingers Falls. On February 26, 1949 she married Raymond E. Paggi at St. Mary's Church, Wappingers Falls. Mr. Paggi survives at home in Wappingers Falls.
Louise was a parishioner at St. Mary's Church, Wappingers Falls and was a Secular Franciscan at Mount Alvernia, Wappingers Falls. She was also a former volunteer with Meals on Wheels. Most important to her was her family; especially the love of her life Raymond and their children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of sixty years, she is survived by her children, Michael Paggi of Michigan, Raymond Paggi and his wife, Gail of Virginia, Judy Angelovich of New York, Elizabeth Parrotte and her husband, Ron of Maryland and Larry Paggi and his wife, Mary of Wappingers Falls; her brothers, Andy DiMarco and his wife, Eleanor of Wappingers Falls and Nick DiMarco of Wappingers Falls; fifteen grandchildren, Jenny, Jill, Laura, Stacey, Cheryl, Eddie, Jessica, Adam, Meredith, Ryan, Joseph, Catherine, Nikki, Cristie and Brittany; five great-grandchildren, Aidan, Braydon, Madison, Becca and Cameron as well as many dear in-laws, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Anthony F. DiMarco and Dr. Stephen DiMarco and her sister, Mary Benedetto.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 6 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls.
Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
