Robert J. Dykman
Robert J. Dykman, a resident of the Town of Wappinger, entered into rest Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 77.
Son of the late James and Edna Dykman, he was born November 4, 1932 in Poughkeepsie. He married the former Patricia Till on June 23, 1962 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Mrs. Dykman survives at home in Wappingers Falls. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
Prior to his retirement, he was an engineering programmer with IBM. Bob was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls where he was chairman of the St. Mary's Food Pantry for ten years. He was also a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Wappingers Falls.
In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is survived by his six children Linda Dykman, Brian Dykman and his wife, Lanette, James Dykman, Theresa Dykman, Sandra Dykman, and Steven Dykman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2010 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls.
Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bob's name to St. Mary's Food Pantry, 11 Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590
