Obituary of Ralph J. Sisia

Ralph J. Sisia Ralph J. Sisia, a resident of Fishkill, entered into rest Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 83. Son of the late George and May Gargano Sisia, he was born November 16, 1926 in New York City. On October 12, 1952 in New York City he married the former Anne Sarube. Mrs. Sisia survives at home in Fishkill. Prior to his retirement, Ralph was a Corrections Officer with the New York City Department of Corrections. He was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church, Wappingers Falls where he was an usher. In addition to his wife of fifty-seven years, Anne Sisia; he is survived by his children, Michael Sisia and his wife, Mary Ellen and Cathy Paglia and her husband, Ron; his daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Sisia; and his grandchildren, Matthew Sisia, Michael Sisia, Stephanie Habich and Christopher Habich. He was predeceased by his son, John Sisia. Family will receive friends on Monday, March 1, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano and Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 2 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains.
