Obituary of Mabel Colarossi

Mabel Colarossi Mabel Colarossi, of Poughkeepsie, entered into rest, Thursday, February 25, 2010 at The Pines at Poughkeepsie. She was 85. Daughter of the late William and Ellen Pritchett, she was born October 22, 1924 in Little Rock, Arkansas. On December 19, 1943 in New York City, she married Antonio Colarossi. Mr. Colarossi preceded her in death on October 30, 1996. Prior to her retirement, she and her husband owned and operated Zebra Pizzeria and Restaurant in Valley Stream, Long Island. Survivors include her children, Pietro Colarossi and his wife, Margaret of Coram, Long Island, Loretta Hoffman and her husband, John of Bellmore, Long Island and Jessica Gaddis and her husband, Richard of Poughkeepsie; her grandchildren, Jennifer Michels and her husband, Chris, Joann Cassar and her husband, Joseph, Erica Matthews and her husband, Scott, Jeneen Barbarto and her husband, Christian, Michele Megna and her husband, Christopher and Renee O'Neill and her husband, Brian; her great-grandchildren, Colin, Gracie Joey, Brady, Sydney and Ryan. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her grandson, Steven Colarossi. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano and Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mabel's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2 Jefferson Plaza, Suite 203, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
