Obituary of Pari Holton

Pari Holton, a resident of Poughkeepsie, entered into rest Sunday, November 16, 2014 at her home. She was 86. Born in Tehran, Iran on April 24, 1928 she came to the United States at age 12 to better her education. While at Skidmore College, she met Wayne W. Holton whom she married on September 5, 1951 in Southbridge, Massachusetts. Mr. Holton preceded her in death on July 29, 2007. Pari worked as a preschool teacher at Vassar College and later worked and retired from IBM in Poughkeepsie. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Currie of Crystal River, Florida, Laurie Keller of Austin, Texas and Sarah Murray and her husband, Randy of Fishkill as well as her granddaughter, Tanya Scott and her husband, Brian of Framingham, Massachusetts. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Gerald Moshiri. A private service will be held at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
