Obituary of Patricia Ann LeClercq

Patricia Ann LeClercq passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was 86. Born on April 1, 1928 in Queens, Patricia was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Bertha Schierloh O'Reilly. She married Arthur Robert LeClercq on May 18, 1954 in Brooklyn. They were married for 48 years until his passing in 2002. Patricia was a substitute librarian in the Wappingers Central School District and library clerk at Wappingers Junior High School. Patricia was an active parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls for 57 years. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters of America, Court Queen of Peace. She was also a member of the Dutchess County Senior Club in Poughkeepsie. Patricia is survived by her children, Teresa Watkins and her husband, Ray of Colorado, Alan LeClercq and his wife, Luz of Florida, Richard LeClercq and his wife, Sharon of Oklahoma, Joseph LeClercq at home, Paul LeClercq of Oregon and Marie Cragan and her husband, Thomas of Bloomingburg; her 13 grandchildren; her 14 great grandchildren; her sister, Maureen O'Reilly DeLisle; her brothers, Francis O'Reilly and his wife, Helen and Vincent O'Reilly and his wife, Tamiko; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Patricia was predeceased by her grandchildren, Robert LeClercq and Brenda LeClercq. Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A Catholic Daughters Wake Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 1 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in the family plot in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls. Memorial donations in memory of Patricia may be made to the Poor Clares of New York, 70 Nelson Avenue, Wappingers Falls, New York 12590.
