Obituary of Genevieve A. Hubner

Genevieve A. Hubner Genevieve A. Hubner, a resident of the Town of Wappinger, entered into rest Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Wingate at Beacon. She was 86. Daughter of the late John and Josephine Diamond Grabsky, she was born July 10, 1924 in Mamaroneck, New York. On March 4, 1945 in Port Chester, New York she married William A. Hubner. Mr. Hubner preceded her in death March 11, 1998. Mrs. Hubner worked as a seamstress in Port Chester for many years. Later in life, she was a cashier in the cafeteria at Roy C. Ketcham High School in Wappingers Falls. She was a parishioner at St. Mary's Church, Wappingers Falls. Most important to her was her family. She loved her two daughters and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her two daughters, Judith Abraham of Wappingers Falls and Susan Beattie and her husband, James T. of Barrington, Illinois; her two sisters, Gloria Pinon of Peekskill and Elizabeth Beaulieu of Middletown; her grandchildren, William and Brian Abraham and Adam, Scott and Kimberly Beattie; her great-grandchildren, Theresa, Anthony and Gregory; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Marie Radice and Evelyn Lamberston. Family will receive friends on Sunday, August 8, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano and Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 9 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
