Obituary of William J. Shepherd

William J. Shepherd William J. Shepherd of Wappingers Falls and previously of New York City, entered into rest Sunday, September 19, 2010. He was 69. He was born in Tarrytown, New York to Catherine and William Shepherd on January 18, 1941. In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by his wife Patricia. He is survived by his sister, Joan Gallagher of Wappingers Falls, and several nieces and nephews. William worked as a teacher in New York City for many years. He also was retired from the United States Army; he retired with the rank of Colonel. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano and Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 23 at the United Methodist Church of Wappingers Falls, East Main Street and Mesier Avenue.
