Obituary of Yolanda Clidas

Yolanda Clidas Yolanda Clidas of Wappingers Falls went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 19, 2010. She was 85. Daughter of the late Bruno and Rafaella Gagliardi, she was born on July 5, 1925 in Brooklyn. Yolanda was predeceased by her husband, George Clidas. Mrs. Clidas worked most recently as a staff attendant for Hudson River Psychiatric Center. She was a member of Faith Assembly of God where she loved to volunteer her time. Yolanda faithfully sent cards to the sick for birthdays and anniversaries, and cards of encouragement to those with needs and struggles. She was also a member of the Zion Senior Center and the Prime Timers. Survivors include her children, Nickolas Clidas and his wife, Jeanne of Rochester, and Barbara Earles-Vrooman and her husband, Wayne Vrooman of Wappingers Falls; her sister, Florence Abuiso; grandchildren, Joseph and Brianna; great-grandson, Liam; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved church family. In addition to her husband, George, she was predeceased by her sisters, Rose Montuoro, Mary Fittipaldi, May DeLuca, Jay Pezzotta and Ida Romano. Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main St., Wappingers Falls, NY, 12590. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 24 at 11 a.m. at Faith Assembly of God, 254 Spackenkill Road in Poughkeepsie.
