Obituary of Christine J. Gasperini

Christine J. Gasperini Christine J. Gasperini, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Friday, April 22, 2011 at her home. She was 82. Daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Blose Carozza, she was born January 4, 1929 in Yonkers. She married Pasquale "Pat" Gasperini on June 1, 1947 in Mt. Carmel Church in Yonkers. Mr. Gasperini preceded her in death on May 27, 1991. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her sons, Patrick A. Gasperini and his wife, Julia of Wappingers Falls and Dennis J. Gasperini of Las Vegas, Nevada; her daughter-in-law, Rosalia Gasperini of Wappingers Falls; her brother, Anthony Carozza and his wife, Sherry of Wappingers Falls; her grandchildren, Pasquale J., Anthony, Justin, Michael, and Daniel; her great-grandchildren, Anthony, Anna, Sophia, P.J. and Jonathan as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Anthony J. Gasperini in 2006 and her brother, Alfonse Carozza. Family will receive their friends from 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, South Avenue, Poughkeepsie.
