Obituary of Howard Soules

Howard Soules Howard Soules of Poughkeepsie entered into rest Thursday, June 2, 2005 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was 85. Son of the late Howard and Bertha Soules, he was born on February 2, 1920 in Norfolk, Virginia. He was married to his loving wife Catherine Boyce Soules for many years. Howard worked as a painting contractor for LaGrange Painting Company. He was also a life member of Local 155 Painter's Union and a member of the Shekomeko Lodge #458 Masons in Pleasant Valley. Besides his wife, Catherine, survivors include his daughters, Yvonne Seaman and her husband, Jim, of Poughkeepsie and Linda Fusiak and Marjorie Robinson, both of Middletown; his step-daughter, Barbara Bovee of Kingston; his sister, Edna Markowski of Missouri; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Howard's name to the American Heart Association, 229 Manchester Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603 or the American Lung Association, 3 Winners Circle, Albany, NY 12205.
