Ed hired me right out of high school as his secretary in 1966 to 1968 in the quality control lab. I returned to Chemprene in 1972 thanks to his recommendation and retired in 1998 as Human Resources Director. Mrs. McCarthy, you may remember me. I was good friends with other people such as John Murray, John Leyden, Gary Truax, Leo Supple and Rosie! Chemical Rubber went through many changes and saw many wonderful people. Ed was the foundation for that company. When I think of the great times and the great people, Ed of course is the first one that comes to my mind. I'm sorry I will be out of town this weekend but Ed is in every memory I have of Chemical Rubber. He was a wonderful man and made valuable contributions not only to my life but to the lives of many people. I will never forget him. My sympathies to you, Mrs. McCarthy, to your family and of course to everyone who knew Ed.
