Jeryl M. Robbins
Jeryl M. Robbins, a longtime New Windsor resident, entered into rest, Thursday, January 5, 2006 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Cornwall Campus. She was 50.
Daughter of Melvin Hurst and the late Elvira Peterman Hurst, she was born November 10, 1955 in Queens, New York.
Jeryl was a parishioner of St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church, Beacon. She was active with St. John's Outreach and various other organizations at St. John's. Most importantly she was a devoted mother to her three children.
In addition to her father Melvin Hurst of Fayetteville, North Carolina; she is survived by her beloved husband, John I. Robbins at home in New Windsor; her son, Joseph; her two daughters, Jory and Kelsey all at home in New Windsor; her sister, Catherine VanCura and her husband, Eugene of Peekskill; one niece, Caren Stevens; one nephew, Thomas VanCura and one great-nephew, Adrian Stevens.
Family will receive their friends on Saturday, January 7, 2006 from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, January 8 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Straub Funeral Home, 55 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, January 9 at 11:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist, Willow Street, Beacon.
