MaryAnn S. Twilley
MaryAnn S. Twilley of Wappingers Falls entered into rest Monday, May 15, 2006 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was 64.
Daughter of the late Walter and Jean Woodsinger Bullett, she was born on June 13, 1941 in Forest City, PA. She married the love of her life, Russell D. Twilley, Sr. on July 4, 1964 in Forest City; he precedes her in death passing on February 17, 1987.
Mrs. Twilley worked as an administrative assistant for IBM in East Fishkill for many years. She was also involved in many aspects of her community such as Wappinger Central School's PTA, Ladies Home Bureau in Wappingers Falls and the Ladies of the Elks in Wappingers Falls. Most of all, MaryAnn loved to read and to cook.
Survivors include her son, Russell David Twilley, Jr. of Poughkeepsie; her daughter, Barbara Straub-Mooradian and her husband, Michael of Wappingers Falls; her brother, Walter Bullett and his wife, Karen of Scranton, PA; her two much loved grandchildren, Mark Straub and Joseph Mooradian; and several aunts, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Family will receive their friends on Friday, May 19, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Straub Funeral Home, 55 East Main St., Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, May 20 at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Columba in Hopewell Junction. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in MaryAnn's name to the Vassar Road School Library, payable to Wappingers Central School District, c/o Straub Funeral Home, PO Box 131, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
