Obituary of Louisa DiSilvestro

Louisa DiSilvestro Louisa DiSilvestro of Wappingers Falls, formerly of Bronx, NY, entered into rest Monday, August 21, 2006 at Hudson Valley Nursing Center in Highland. She was 93. Daughter of the late Francesco and Lucia Pezzulo DeRosa, she was born on April 30, 1913 in Italy. She married Antonio DiSilvestro; he precedes her in death. Mrs. DiSilvestro worked as a silk flower manufacturer for a company in the Bronx for many years. She was also a member if St. Raymond's Church in the Bronx and later attended St. Columba's Church in Hopewell Junction when she relocated to Wappingers Falls. Survivors include her brothers, Frank DeRosa of the state of Florida, Peter DeRosa of Wappingers Falls and Antimo DeRosa of the Bronx; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her loving husband, Antonio, she is predeceased by her brother, Ignazzo and her sisters, Rose, Pasquele and Carmela. Family will receive their friends on Wednesday, August 23 from 4-9 p.m. at Straub Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, August 24 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
