Obituary of Martha Zablocki

Martha Zablocki Martha Zablocki of Montclair, New Jersey, formerly of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Sunday, October 22, 2006 at Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. She was 96. Daughter of the late Marion and Stella Popielinski Kozlowski, she was born on August 27, 1910 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She was married to Bernard J. Zablocki; he precedes her in death, passing on December 27, 1982. Mrs. Zablocki spent her years making a warm and loving home for her four children. When she resided locally, she was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. Survivors include her children, Bernard J. Zablocki and his wife, Loretta of Wappingers Falls, Raymond J. Zablocki of Hawley, Pennsylvania and Victoria Bitar of Nutley, New Jersey; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Bernard, she is predeceased by her daughter, Patricia DelGrosso, her six sisters and one brother. Family will receive their friends on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Straub Funeral Home, 55 East Main St., Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 25 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Father Dhas presiding. Interment will follow in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery in Riverhead, Long Island.
