Judith K. Parks
Judith K. Parks of Poughkeepsie entered into rest Sunday, March 10, 2007 at home. She was 53.
Daughter of the Alexander and Gladys Garland Rutkowski, she was born on November 3, 1953 in Yonkers.
Judy grew up in Mount Vernon and attended Lincoln High School in Yonkers. After high school, she went on to graduate from Dutchess County Community College, then Marist with a Bachelor's Degree and finally Columbia with a Master's Degree in Social Work; she was very proud of her education, especially proud that she received her Master's from such a prestigious school as Columbia. Most recently, she worked as a social worker for the YWCA in Poughkeepsie.
Judy most enjoyed shopping, music and sports, especially the Yankees. She also had a very special love for her cats, Alexander and Destiny.
Survivors include her son, Christopher S. Parks, Jr. of Poughkeepsie and her daughter, Jennifer A. Parks and her fianc�, Justin Fowler of Poughkeepsie.
She is predeceased by her sister, Karen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday March 16, 2007 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in the family plot in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judy's name to the ASPCA, 636 Violet Avenue, Hyde Park, NY 12538.
