Obituary of Barry A. Goldstein

Barry A. Goldstein, Jr. Barry A. Goldstein, Jr. a resident of the Town of Wappinger and formerly of the Bronx, entered into rest Friday, March 23, 2007 at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx. He was 34. Son of Barry A. and Laura E. Guzman Goldstein, Sr. of Wappingers Falls, he was born April 18, 1972 in the Bronx. On January 14, 1995 he married the former Amy J. Berryan in Phoenicia, New York. Mrs. Goldstein survives at home in Wappingers Falls. Barry worked for Manhattan and Bronx Surface Transit Operating Authority where he was a member of the Transit Workers Union, Local 100. He was a devoted father and family man. Barry loved to take his children fishing and share his love for animals. Barry was a true friend who could always make you laugh and was adored by all who knew him for his kind and childlike nature. He will be so deeply missed. In addition to his wife and parents, Barry is survived by his three children, Marcelina, Alexander and Emily Goldstein at home in Wappingers Falls; his sister, Linda J. Goldstein of Wappingers Falls; his mother and father-in-law, Lewis and Valentine Berryan; his sisters-in-law, Allison Darling and Katherine Brayman and her husband, Doug; his nieces and nephews, Hamilton and Billy Darling, Lauren Berryan, Hannah Lowe and Trent Brayman as well as numerous friends. Family will receive their friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Straub Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28 at Holy Trinity Church, Main Street, Poughkeepsie. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations on Barry's behalf may be made to the Goldstein Children's College Fund, care of Amy J. Goldstein, PO Box 821, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
