Obituary of Elease Griffin

Elease Griffin Elease Griffin of the town of Kingston, New York, died April 30, 2007 at Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinecliff, NY after a short illness. Born on May 16, 1916 in Denmark, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late John Morse and Zula Kearse. Mrs. Griffin lived many years with her son Bradford and daughter-in-law Joyce Griffin in Hempstead, NY; Wappingers Falls, NY and Kingston, NY. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. Elease was a nurturing mother and grandmother to her immediate family and extended family. Survivors include son Bradford Griffin II and his wife Joyce Griffin of Surprise, Arizona, two grandchildren Dawn Griffin of Surprise, Arizona Dr. Bradford Griffin III and wife Wendy of Blackburn, NJ., and three great-grandsons Shauquille, Roashan and Bradford IV all of Blackburn, NJ. Elease touched the hearts of many. She leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends who will miss her greatly. Elease was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Bradford Griffin Sr., her brothers Ernest, Johnny, Edward "Hub" Kearse and sisters Dolly Kearse Hammond, Mozelle Kearse Banks and Hattie Kearse Donaldson. Visitation will be at 10:30 am on May 12, 2007 at Straub Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, N.Y.
