Obituary of Michael Mastrogiorgio

Michael Mastrogiorgio Michael Mastrogiorgio of the Town of Poughkeepsie entered into rest Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was 87. Son of the late Frank and Carrie Valiante Mastrogiorgio, he was born on October 8, 1920 in Westport, Connecticut. He married the love of his life, Irene Solotruk on December 30, 1945; Mrs. Mastrogiorgio survives at home. Michael worked as a truck driver for various trucking companies, most recently Bridgeport Pipe in Bridgeport, CT, until his retirement. In addition to his wife, Irene, he is survived by his daughter, Laura Gary and her husband, Robert of Wappingers Falls; sisters, Marie Roberts and Edith Albanese, both of Connecticut; grandchildren, Brett Turechek and her husband, Bill Mygan of Lagrangeville, Alexandra Turechek and her husband, Anthony Annunziata of Dover Plains, and William Turechek and his wife, Catherine Westbrook of Vero Beach, FL; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
