I had the joy of living for awhile in the presence of Father Owen. I always enjoyed his kindness, compassion, sincerity and true Christian witness of a man of God and a man of practicality. May he be experiencing the rewards of his labors. I am a better man and a better priest for having known him.

We send our condolences for the loss of Father Owen. He was an "Uncle" to all of "Jack and Dottie Ardini" kids. He led us through our marriage vows over 26 years ago. His words of counsel then still resound in our respect for the sacred vows we took. He was a holy, special person who saw us thorough many trials and tribulations. I believe in gifts from on high! On November 16, 2008 Pat & I celebrated our 40th Wedding anniversary in the church of Saint Anthonys Friary in Catskill, NY. We had asked Father Owen (Pats uncle) to renew our vows because he married us. It seemed he waited for this occasion. He got to see all his grandnieces & grandnephew and his great grandnieces & grandnephew (our children and grandchildren). What a blessed remembrance for all.
Thank you Lord for Father Owen and this Blessed event.
He will be missed but loved.

We offer our shared sorrow at the loss of such a wonderful part of our lives. Fr. Owen was with us over Thanksgiving weekend 30 years ago to baptize our Peter Owen Maglio, who was named after him. Fr. Owen is considered our "adopted Uncle" and we love him very much. He married us 38 years ago and has always held a special place in our hearts. Thank you for sharing him with us! I know he had a wonderful welcome home!
