Don -
I had the pleasure of meeting you through my sister, Melissa. I still think about that meditation retreat we went on, the pig roast.. the even in the city and the last conversation we not too long after you passed.
I have been raising money and walking in your honor every year for suicide prevention. I miss you so much and wish I had you to talk to.
Forever missed

My deepest condolences to Big Don's family on his passing. I knew Don back in High School and he was always a big guy, but a great guy. Last time I saw him he was with his wife at our 20th High School reunion and I was looking forward to seeing him at our 30th. Just found out on the reunion website, I am truly shocked and saddened. God bless him and god bless his family. You are in our prayers.

To Don's family: I only just heard of Don's untimely passing. So very sorry for your loss, I will miss the big guy. We shared some fun times hanging out together in Burlington VT while he lived up here. He was a true good timing man. He seemed happiest of all when he spoke of his 3 daughters, such a proud Dad. I wish you all the best, Denise and remember the good times. Jennifer, Meghan and Kaitlyn, I don't know what to say. I lost my Dad when I was still in high school and it was really heartbreaking. I still miss him. Hang in there. Don was one of a kind, and he really loved his family deep down, and he was a good friend. Cheers, Jim Stevens

Lois, I don't know if you remember me, I worked for IBM in Fishkill, in building 334. We often talked about your vacations to Pennsylvania, and your daughter Sue bartending down the street. You moved to Poughkeepsie and we lost contact.
I was so heart broken about your son's passing. I also lost a son 10 years ago. To lose a child at any age is one of the most devastating things one can endure. I am truly sorry and my thoughts are with you and your family...

We are all so saddened by the news and also incredibly shocked. Don potrayed all the qualities one would like in a friend, a trainer and a father. His presence, smile and demeanor will most certainly be missed at the Center for Physical Therapy.

To my friends family, I have no words except I am sorry,Don was my friend and i will miss him very much, we used to hang out a lot when he came to vermont, and we kept in touch thru the years, we worked at IBM together and played basketball after work, and he was so proud when he finally realized his potential on the court. I was proud to be his best man at his wedding in vermont, and we would stay at each others house and he used to love coming back to vermont and would stay at my cabin in the woods! it was always good seeing him and how much the girls have grown since the last time i saw them, i cant tell you all how sorry i am for not being there, but Don was a spiritual person and i know he is watching over all of us now, and there is no pain in heaven,RIP and till the next time we meet my buddy ! nastrovia

My only brother passed July 9th. He was 40. Know that you are not alone. I raised 1200 in my brothers name for the American Foundation for Suicide prevention. There is a walk on Oct 23rd as you know. Your loss was suffered on my birthday. There are no words to express how truly sorry I am for you all. Just know that there are those of us out there, close by, that feel exactly how you do right now. I only lost him 3 months ago and it still hasnt set in yet. It is a wonderful gesture for the AFSP. Please email me if you like. I will look for his name on the donor website. God Bless you and please, don't hesitate to get in touch with me, I know what you're going through.

I was fortunate to be Don's holistic doctor to help him get through a complicated issue. Over time he had become a good friend and loved his kids and made my son Sebastian and I comfortable at his great summer BBQ's. This loss has hit all who have known him. He will be missed and I hope Denise and the girls always know I am there for them in this mourning time and further if needed. God bless and know he is watching out for all of you . I hope he is in a better place.

Lois and family, I'm deeply saddened and shocked to hear of Don's passing. It's been quite awhile since we all were in class together and I haven't seen either of you in years. He truly was a "larger than life" guy with a passion for many things and genuine concern for his fellow man.

To the Cvijanovich family,
I am deeply saddened by the news about Don. It's shocking to me that such a larger-than-life person could be taken from us at such an early age.
I knew Don through our mutual association with LaGrange Basketball. Many years ago, Don stepped-up to the plate and took on the onerous responsibility of running our league. He sacrificed countless hours so that the girls of our community could exercise in a positive environment, where they could learn about sportsmanship, competition and the great game of basketball. Don could be blunt at times, but there was never a doubt that he cared deeply about the girls in the league and the people in his community.
I'll never forget the quote at the end of his emails - 'A man never stands so tall as when he stoops down to help a child'. From my experience, Don really tried to live by this credo. He will be sorely missed.
I will pray for Don and for your family, that God may ease your pain.
