In the time we were together, I know we both knew we were soulmates. We always had this insane connection and to this day, you really were my twin flame. I’ve moved on, I have a husband and family who I love to pieces but there’s just something you and I had that will stay with me forever. I hope wherever you are, you’re good.

Laury, GOD I cannot believe how long it has been. From the moment I kissed you as a joke through the lens crafters gate in the Poughkeepsie Galleria in the late 90s, to us singing karaoke in the house with Froggt and Katie and your mom getting mad, for my obsession with your “hair lamp”, and for all the amazing, life-changing conversations that we had together throughout the 2000s. Your friendship always meant the world to me. The last time I saw you was running into you at Vassar in 2009 and you yelled CHRISSY!!! omg gave me the biggest hug and said that you wished we could hang out soon. Damnit buddy I wish we could have - you’ve missed so much. Love you always, my dear, dear friend (Christina M. Ventura)

I'm so sorry, I had no idea until I seen a bench with his name on it. Larry and I used to be inseparable, I even went to his prom with him. Every time I watch Casablanca I hear in my head Larry saying no matter what we always have Casablanca. He was/is one of the greatest person I had the privilege to know. I still have the mix tape he made me, that's when we were kinda dating in tenth grade. We became to grow into a beautiful friendship, then life happened and we seen less and less of each other, but never forgot how close we were. Months years could go by without any conversation with him, but when we did, it always felt like it was yesterday and we would just sit and talk for hours. He is a very special, passionate, and loving man. He wore his heart on his sleeve, and never gave up on anything, mostly love, and his family. I'm so sorry I'm just hearing about it, I'll visit his grave soon.

Just read the news, and can't believe my eyes. Although Laurence was a couple years older then me, we went to Ketcham high school together, and I went with him to his junior prom. We have shared lots of great memories over the years. I live out of state now and a reunion was extremely due, but due to his work and on call schedule it never happened when I would visit NY. Now I will have to wait and see him on the other side. I am so very sorry to hear this news. My prayers are with his family and friends.

Our deepest sympathy on the passing of Lawrence
I can recall one summer day, when Mrs. Sliss mentioned the Christmas tree purchased when Lawrence was very young. The tree is still green and healthy. On that sad day, that is what I looked at from across the way. I know you and family will do the same thing. My Lawrence rest in peace. Lawrence is home. From Lydia and Charles.

To The Sliss Family:
I wanted to extend my deepest sympathies & most sincere condolences to you all. Larry was a very dear friend of mine in High School-he graduated a year ahead of me. I just have to say (which I know you are already aware of...and many RCK classmates can vouch for this) that he was one of the most kind-hearted people I've ever met. I can't remember a day that went by when he didn't have a smile on his face. I remember running into him 2yrs ago at Vassar Hospital during the time when my grandmother was quite ill, by the cafeteria and it was just wonderful to see him, and to catch up--his personality hadn't changed one bit and was still full of sunshine! I'll miss him a great deal--he was a special, special person!

Many years I have known Larry, including graduating with him from RCK and continuing our friendship through the years since. I have always known what a great man and friend he was to all. Our families have crossed many times throughout through years, and as Larry begins his journey I know my father will watch over such a great friend in heaven. Larry will be missed immensely and my family send our deepest regards and condolences to you.
